Zovia

Zovia is a combination hormonal medication that is used as an oral contraceptive, commonly known as birth control pills. It contains a combination of two hormones: an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol) and a progestin (ethynodiol diacetate).Zovia works by preventing ovulation, which is the release of an egg from the ovary. It also alters the cervical mucus, making it thicker and less receptive to sperm, and changes the lining of the uterus, making it less favorable for implantation of a fertilized egg. .
