Ramipril

Ramipril helps lower blood pressure by inhibiting the action of angiotensin-converting enzyme, an enzyme that plays a role in the production of a hormone called angiotensin II. Angiotensin II causes blood vessels to narrow and promotes the release of another hormone called aldosterone, which increases sodium and fluid retention.
