Dallergy is a combination medication that is available over-the-counter for the relief of allergy symptoms. It contains two active ingredients: chlorpheniramine maleate, an antihistamine, and phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant. Chlorpheniramine maleate helps alleviate symptoms such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance released by the body during an allergic reaction. Phenylephrine hydrochloride acts as a nasal decongestant, providing temporary relief from nasal congestion by constricting the blood vessels in the nasal passages, reducing swelling and congestion.
